Ordering

How QR ordering works from scan to service.

QR ordering connects a guest’s phone to the work required to prepare and deliver an order. The exact experience varies by system, but the core journey follows a practical sequence.

Verified payment status

  1. Payment provider
  2. Server verification
  3. Verified payment status

An order is treated as paid only after the payment provider’s result is verified on the server. A browser return page is not proof of payment. Scorpaq does not hold guest funds.

01

1. Scan

The guest scans a QR code linked to a table, room, pickup point or another configured service location.

02

2. Browse

The menu opens in the mobile browser so the guest can review available categories, items, descriptions and prices.

03

3. Choose

The guest selects items and relevant options before reviewing the basket.

04

4. Order

The guest submits the order. A well-structured system keeps the service context attached so the team knows where the order belongs.

05

5. Pay where supported

Where payment is available, the guest can complete it in the ordering journey. The order is treated as paid only after the provider result is verified on the server. A browser return is not proof of payment, and Scorpaq does not hold guest funds.

06

6. Prepare

The kitchen or responsible team sees what needs to be prepared and the order moves through the relevant operational state.

07

7. Serve

When the order is ready, the service team can see where it needs to go and complete the service.

08

8. Review operational context

Managers can review service time, availability and relevant exceptions alongside the order history. Not every QR system provides this level of operational context.

The flow in different hospitality settings

Scorpaq applies the same core journey to different hospitality settings while preserving the service context required by each operation.

  • Restaurant — the table remains attached to the order
  • Hotel — the room or service area identifies where service is needed
  • Poolside — the configured pool, beach or lounger area stays with the request

FAQ

Common questions

How does QR ordering work?

A guest scans a QR code, browses in the mobile browser, chooses items and submits an order that enters the service workflow.

The QR link identifies the service location; guests browse items and choose their order. Payment follows the options made available by the business, and an online result must be verified before the order is treated as paid.

Do guests need an app?

No. Scorpaq works through the guest’s mobile browser.

Guests enter through the business’s QR link and use the available menu in their browser. The service points and payment options depend on that business’s setup.

How does the restaurant know which table ordered?

The configured service location can remain attached to the order. Scorpaq does not claim automatic physical-location tracking.

A table, room or pickup point must be configured before it can supply order context. The link identifies that point; it does not automatically detect where a guest physically moves.

Can QR ordering work in hotels?

Yes. It can support hotel restaurants, room service, poolside service and other configured areas.

The hotel chooses which areas, menus and teams to configure. This does not make Scorpaq a reservation or accommodation-management system.

Can guests pay through QR ordering?

Yes, where payment is supported and the result is verified before the order is treated as paid.

The business needs an eligible relationship with a supported provider. This marketing website does not take guest payments or activate online payment merely through an application.
