01
A QR menu displays information
A QR menu opens a digital menu in the guest’s browser. Guests can view categories, products, descriptions and prices without handling a printed menu.
02
A QR ordering system moves the guest journey forward
QR ordering adds action to browsing. Guests can choose items, submit an order and, where supported, complete payment. The order then enters a fulfilment workflow rather than ending at menu display.
03
The operational difference matters
With a QR menu, the guest still gives the order through another channel. With QR ordering, the guest action can remain connected to the kitchen or service workflow, the relevant service location and the order’s current status.
04
When is a QR menu enough?
A QR menu may be enough when a business only wants to replace printed menus with a browser-based display and does not want guests to submit orders digitally.
05
When does QR ordering make more sense?
QR ordering is more useful when guests should be able to act from the same experience. Common contexts include table ordering, room service, poolside service and configured pickup points.
06
Does QR ordering replace the POS?
Not necessarily. QR ordering and a POS serve different purposes, and product scope varies between providers. Scorpaq does not position itself as a full POS replacement.

FAQ
Common questions
Is a QR menu the same as QR ordering?
No. A QR menu displays information, while QR ordering also lets the guest submit an order into a service workflow.
A menu displays items and prices; the planned workflow also carries an order into preparation and service. Scorpaq is not a full POS, PMS or ERP.
Can QR ordering work without an app?
Yes. A browser-based system such as Scorpaq can work without a mandatory app download.
Guests enter through the business’s QR link and use the available menu in their browser. The service points and payment options depend on that business’s setup.
Can QR ordering include payment?
Yes, where payment is supported and its status can be verified.
The business needs an eligible relationship with a supported provider. This marketing website does not take guest payments or activate online payment merely through an application.
Does QR ordering replace a POS?
Not necessarily. Scorpaq is not positioned as a full POS replacement.
Scorpaq does not promise automatic synchronisation with an existing till, hotel system or accounting package. Any separate workflow and its limits should be assessed before a pilot.
Can hotels use QR ordering?
Yes. QR ordering can support hotel restaurants, room service, poolside service and other configured service areas.
The hotel chooses which areas, menus and teams to configure. This does not make Scorpaq a reservation or accommodation-management system.
